WhyFirst is offering one-on-one and small group mentoring sessions with their co-founders Billy Blackett and Edward Burrows-Cheng. Billy and Edward bring a unique blend of expertise and passion to the table. With Billy's background in academic and wellbeing mentorship for youth, and Edward's experience in community leadership and dedication to guiding the next generation, they collectively drive the vision and mission of WhyFirst to empower students, foster personal growth, and shape a brighter future.

These sessions, part of the Due North program, target students aged between 14 and 21. Billy and Edward are happy to tailor discussions to each student or group's needs, primarily focusing on one or more of these topics:

  • Leadership in School, Community, and Sporting Contexts

  • Designing and Implementing School and Community-Based Projects

  • Public Speaking and Speech Writing

  • Scholarship Research and Applications

  • Academic Goal Setting and Planning

If you're seeking something beyond these areas, reach out to us, and we can customise a plan for you. All programs commence with an initial 30-minute consultation. Following this, a mentoring plan will be developed based on the specific needs of the student or group.

*Conditions: The offer of a complimentary initial consultation applies exclusively to the first 10 students who schedule an appointment with WhyFirst. This consultation is provided free of charge and must be booked within the specified timeframe. WhyFirst reserves the right to modify or terminate the offer at its discretion.
