Our Story.

In a rapidly changing world, where education and the way we engage with young people are constantly evolving, Edward and Billy sowed the seeds of WhyFirst. They recognised the pressing need to adapt to the technological advancements that influence the lives of today's youth, and witnessed the challenges that arise from increased screen time and the struggle to find meaningful engagement in a digital age.

Inspired by the potential of technology to bridge gaps and facilitate connections, Edward and Billy have embarked on a joint mission to transform education and mentoring for teenagers. They share a vision of a platform that not only addresses the pressing issues for youth but also harnesses the power of technology to empower young minds.

Billy, with a background in academic and wellbeing mentorship for youth from diverse upbringings, understands the profound impact that personalised guidance can have on students' lives. Edward, driven by his own experiences and passion for guiding the next generation, brings a fresh perspective as a community leader in various contexts, including sport and within his profession as a lawyer.

Together, Edward and Billy found WhyFirst, fuelled by their shared belief in the importance of personalised mentoring and meaningful engagement. They know that traditional educational models need to evolve to meet the changing needs of students and believe that by leveraging technology and creating a tailored mentoring program, they can provide young people with the industry understanding and life skills necessary to navigate their future paths.
